Drug dealers nabbed

Six men were arrested in Alberton over the weekend in connection with dealing in drugs, Ekurhuleni Metro police said.

"The first suspect was found with five packets of "cat" and police later found 95 packets hidden in a trash bin in his flat,"said Ekurhuleni metro police spokesman Chief Superintendent Wilfred Kgasago.

Kgasago said that the total value of the drug on the street is estimated at R30,000.

"Two Nigerian nationals were found in possession 28 packets of "cat" worth R7000 40 rocks valued at R6000 and one gram of cocaine valued at R300," said Kgasago.

Kgasago said that police also arrested two men who were travelling in a VW Golf near the intersection of Vermoten and Almore in Brackendowns.

"They were found in possession of one kilogram of crystal meth estimated at R6000."

Following a tip-off police arrested a 26-year-old man in a house in Topez street in Mayberry Park for possession and dealing in dagga, he was found with seven packets of dagga worth R70.

All the six arrested will appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrate's Court on Monday, October 28 on charges of possessing and dealing in illicit substances.
