Zimbabwe election observers said Thursday that the country's crunch vote was "seriously compromised," citing a slew of flaws that called into question a claim to victory by President Robert Mugabe's allies.

"The election is seriously compromised," Solomon Zwana, the chairman of Zimbabwe Election Support Network, said of Wednesday's election. "Up to a million voters were disenfranchised."
