The two youths, both aged 20, had an argument on the premises of the school

A youth has died after he was stabbed, allegedly by another pupil at a school in Mncuncuzo, Butterworth, Eastern Cape police said on Friday.

The two youths, both aged 20, had an argument on the premises of the Zwelandile Senior Secondary School on Thursday when the stabbing happened, Major Ernest Sigobe said.

“It is alleged that the two students had a quarrel and a fight ensued which resulted in the death of Odwa Mpunqa... from the same village,” said Sigobe.

Mpunqa died on his way to Butterworth Hospital.

Police are investigating.

The 20-year-old pupil is still being sought.
