A Soweto woman has been arrested for child neglect after leaving her four-month-old baby alone at home while she went out drinking
Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela said the 28-year-old woman was arrested on Sunday.
“The father of the four-month-old baby girl went to the woman’s house in Zola and saw that she had left the child alone,” he said.
“He then looked for the woman and found her drunk in a shebeen. He called the police and they arrested the woman.”
Makhubela said the baby was now in her father’s care.
