FIFTY farmworkers were injured when the large truck they were travelling in overturned on a forest plantation road outside Richmond yesterday, KwaZulu-Natal, paramedics said.

"The driver may have lost control, but that can't be confirmed," ER24 spokesman Derrick Banks said.

"ER24 paramedics found the vehicle lying on its side with the farmworkers scattered all over the grass area."

The accident occurred around 10am. Five workers were treated for suspected neck and back injuries, while 45 were treated for minor injuries.
