AN ARGUMENT between two men ended tragically when one of them was stabbed to death.

The incident happened at a tavern in Mapela village near Mokopane in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Police spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Mohale Ramatseba said they had arrested an 18-year-old man for killing a 23-year-old man. He said the two were drinking when an argument ensued. The younger man allegedly used a knife to stab the elder one. Ramatseba said: "We have arrested the 18-year-old boy and charged him with murder. Our investigations are still continuing on the matter."

Ramatseba added the "killer" would appear in the Mahwelereng Magistrate's Court today on a charge of murder.
