FORMER Gauteng Transport MEC Ignatius Jacobs, has been appointed general manager in the office of ANC secretary-general Gwede Mantashe.

Jacobs started with his duties at the beginning of the month.

Yesterday ANC spokesperson Keith Khoza confirmed Jacobs' appointment in Mantashe's office.
