Duo nabbed over car components theft

MORE than R20,000 worth of car components stolen from the Volkswagen SA plant in Uitenhage were recovered and two courier company employees arrested yesterday.

Port Elizabeth K9 unit had received a tip-off about equipment being stolen from VW.

All the components, including water pumps and car batteries, were still wrapped in packaging and due to be taken to a nearby depot.
