THE body of a man was recovered from the sea off Kommetjie beach after he went missing on Saturday afternoon, the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) said.
"He was found by NSRI volunteers floating semi-submerged under water near to where he had been reported to have gone missing," NSRI Kommetjie station commander Tom Coetzee said.
Christopher Robinson, 29, of Ocean View, was swimming with his 8-year-old son at 11.30am on Saturday, when he got into difficulty.
Coetzee said the boy had managed to get back to shore.
