Case deferred

THE assault case against the fiancé of Kim McCusker who was hit and dragged by a minibus taxi in Johannesburg was postponed in the Randburg Magistrate's Court yesterday.

Lourens Grobler will appear in court again on January 20.

Matome Thamage, the driver of the taxi that hit McCusker in Fourways on September 13, laid an assault charge against Grobler.

Thamage claims he struck McCusker who was fleeing from being assaulted by Grobler.

Grobler, 37, was granted bail of R5000 on September 19.
