Tavern murder: 2 men held

FREE State police have arrested two men and are looking for two others for allegedly killing a man two weeks ago.

Police spokesman Warrant Officer Malebo Khosana said Johannes Nkoane, 20, was killed after he had had an argument with one of the suspects.

Khosana said Nkoane died from stab wounds.

It is alleged that Nkoane was in a tavern on October 30 and had an argument with one of the suspects aged 25 years.

The men were both chased out of the tavern and it was then that three other men assisted their friend in attacking Nkoane.

Khosana said on Friday night the police arrested the 25-year-old suspect. The second man, aged 27, was arrested on Saturday morning at his home.

The other two suspects are still at large. The two accused are expected to appear in court soon on charges of murder.
