'I never loved Fikile'
"I NEVER loved Fikile Mbalula. He was just a shag." These are the words of a woman who claims she was made pregnant by the Minister of Sports.
Joyce Omphemetse Molamu told Sowetan that though she had had sex with the minister, she never loved him.
Weekend papers reported that Mbalula was involved in a sex scandal with Molamu. She claimed the minister made her pregnant during a steamy sexual encounter on the day they met. She claimed they met at a party hosted by a friend in Saxonwold, Johannesburg.
Mbalula has since apologised to his wife, family and the nation for the scandal.
The 27-year-old Molamu's ex-boyfriend, who does not want his name to be mentioned, also came forward and told Sowetan that he dated Molamu for more than 14 months.
He said they had met at a function in Rosebank, Joburg. He said the affair started as a fling and grew into a relationship.
He said he did not believe that the baby Molamu was carrying was Mbalula's .
"This woman has had a lot of boyfriends. She was well taken care of.
"When we were dating, she used to come to my place with different top-of-the-range cars and stayed at a posh place - but the most amazing thing was that she was not working.
"When I asked about the cars she used to tell me that they belonged to her rich brother or cousins.
"I dumped her after I discovered that she was dating soccer stars and rich old men "
He said that Molamu had a group of friends who had a similar lifestyle, sponsored by rich men. Molamu refused to comment on the allegations.
The ex-boyfriend said he also found out that she was dating cricket star Lonwabo Tsotsobe.
But both Molamu and Tsotsobe denied the relationship.
"I only know her through Facebook. I have never dated her," Tsotsobe said.
Mbalula's spokeman, Paena Galane, said the whole thing was a closed book to them. "We are no longer going to comment on this issue."
