A motorcyclist is lucky to be alive after colliding with a car - and hanging on for dear life, paramedics say
The accident happened on the N12 near Fochville in the North West Province last night.
"The rider had been travelling on the N12 when traffic calmed. He was unable to stop in time and collided with a light motor vehicle that was travelling in the same direction," Netcare said in a statement.
"The rider’s leg pushed through the back window and he became lodged within it.
"He managed to cling to the vehicle until it came to a halt."
He sustained minor injuries and was stabilised at the scene before was transported by ambulance to a private medical facility in Potchefstroom.
The occupants of the vehicle were uninjured.
