AT LEAST 18 of the most disadvantaged schools around Vhembe district in Limpopo have benefitted from the National Science Week.

Pupils from the schools were given science lessons by interns at the Vuwani Science Centre, an arm of the University of Venda.

From Monday, pupils were invited to see the exhibitions as well as receive training on certain experiments.

Each school brought 60 pupils and by the end of the week 900 will have been assisted. Transport was supplied.

Magwede Khathitshelo, of the University of Venda, was optimistic about the developments.
