Kids with harsh tones

CHILDREN born with cleft palate are no more likely than those in the general population to suffer from hoarseness

This is the finding from a new study of almost 500 children who had undergone palate-repair surgery.

Just 5,5 percent of children with cleft palate in the study group complained of hoarseness - compared with between 6 and 34 percent of those without the condition who experience hoarseness.
