MASINGITA Masunga is forging ahead in business despite having a speech impediment.

Masunga, a businesswoman, motivational speaker and founder of Miss Confidence (a pageant for people with disabilities), has her own talk show on Soweto Community Television.

Known as Masingita with Confidence, the show premieres on Saturday at 6.30pm on DStv channel 150. She said her show was about people and what they go through every day.

"It deals mostly with what people go through on a daily basis. We will be looking at emotional issues such as abuse and self-esteem. More importantly, we are trying to help people to enjoy and celebrate life and who they are. The show caters for all people," said the Limpopo-born woman.

Masunga said she approached the community television station because she realised that most people did not enjoy life. She said she would invite guests on her show.

The show would be produced by Masingita Masunga Media, a production house she owns. Masunga appealed to sponsors to come forward and fund the show that would change people's lives.

Masunga is also managing director of Tinyungubyiseni Talent Promotion Company, which has helped disabled people to make contributions to society through various programmes.
