Principal kills wife, then self
A HIGH school principal from Ndabakazi village murdered his wife and was later found dead from a gunshot wound, Eastern Cape police said yesterday.
The 29-year-old wife apparently came to visit her husband, 40, at the village just outside Butterworth on Saturday night, police spokesperson Captain Jackson Manatha said.
The couple had an argument, during which the husband drew a gun, shot the woman four times in the upper body and drove away with her.
People in the area gave chase and eventually found the couple.
The wife was bleeding profusely, but was still able to talk.
She asked to be taken to hospital, where she died.
The husband was found dead with a gunshot wound.
