Counterfeit goods with a face value of R40million were found in a ship container at Brighton Beach in Durban yesterday , KwaZulu-Natal police said.
Captain Thulani Zwane said: "The counterfeit goods worth R40million were found in a container at a depot in Brighton Beach.
Among the goods were fake Bafana Bafana jerseys."
He said the goods might be from China and it was not clear where they were headed.
No arrests were made and police were investigating.
