No action taken on Mabuza

THE fate of Mpumalanga Premier David Mabuza, who is being investigated by police over a charge of intimidation, has yet to be made known.

Controversial Ehlanzeni district Cope chairperson and former provincial ANCYL leader James Nkambule laid a charge of intimidation against Mabuza at the Barberton police station on June 28.

In a statement to the police Nkambule claimed Mabuza sent him an SMS threatening him. Sowetan got hold of the SMS which states:

"So now the mighty James can't take my calls, I am always 10 steps ahead.

"Cope has cut u (sic) out. Ur (sic) precious daughter is the first casualty, soon u won't have food, medicine" it said.

Mabuza was unavailable for comment.
