Their grudge fight will take place at Wembley Arena, south of Johannesburg, tomorrow night.
The fight will be jointly promoted by Durandt's Boxing World and Rainbow Boxing Promotions.
There was a brouhaha when Schultz's trainer Nick Durandt and promoter Pat Molefe announced the rematch last month.
Critics reacted with shock and disbelief. While some rubbished the WBO for sanctioning the fight, others alleged that the 27-year-old champion from Kambuzuma, Harare, has been paid good purse money to lose.
Durandt and Molefe would not be drawn into revealing how much the two fighters have been paid for the rematch.
Maridzo, who arrived in South Africa on Thursday last week, vehemently dismissed the allegations as nonsense.
"I am here to defend my title, so people must just wait and see whose arms will be raised in triumph on Thursday night," said the man who was assumed to be cannon fodder last year.
This was based on his poor fight record of four wins (3 KOs) against six losses, three by knockouts.
Maridzo also revealed that the punch that felled Schultz in 87 seconds into the first round of their first match-up at the same venue in November was perfectly timed and well executed.
South African trainer John Whitehead, who assisted Maridzo in his preparations, shared his sentiments.
Whitehead will be in Maridzo's corner once again tomorrow night, but he refused to divulge any information regarding their preparations for the grudge fight.
Schultz, who tasted defeat for the first time after 14 wins, made amends at Goodman Dywili's expense when he stopped the Eastern Cape foe in the third round on March 26.
But according to Boxrec.com, Dywili is a hopeless fighter with two losses - both by knockouts - in as many fights.
So it would be suicidal of Schultz to read much into that result as this could lull him into a false sense of security.
There will be five other bouts on the card tomorrow night.
The entire tournament will be bankrolled by Neo Africa.
These fights will not be televised live.
