Saaawu spokesperson Peter Mlaba said workers at various companies at OR Tambo International Airport would return to the streets "soon".
"Ours was a legal strike. Employers said we were not patriotic and applied for an interdict against us. We will know after Wednesday on the result of our court application," said Mlaba. On Monday the union's legal team met to chart the way forward.
Last week, the strikers were arrested as they protested at OR Tambo International Airport.
The union received certificates to strike at restaurants, cleaning companies and other service providers at the airport.
The workers are demanding payments for overtime work during the World Cup and the withdrawal of "unfair" dismissals of members.
