KWAZULU-NATAL MEC for education Senzo Mchunu has lashed out at parents for taking sides over the department's decision to fire a school principal for misconduct.
Addressing parents at Carl Malcomess High School over the dismissal of the school principal, Mchunu said Mbulelo Mankae was fired by the department after allegations that he promoted failed Grade 11 pupils to Grade 12.
Mankae's expulsion angered the community of Kokstad and resulted in a massive protest that included pupils from various schools.
