AURORA, the company controlling the Orkney and Grootvlei mines formerly owned by Pamodzi Gold, might be setting new labour standards, economist Mike Schussler said yesterday.

"The example of people working for free at Aurora mines shows how desperate the situation is."

Schussler was referring to the plight of the firm's miners, who have not received their wages since February. - Sapa
