SOME of the country's most accomplished actresses - Lilian Dube, Mara Louw and Mary Twala - are back on your TV screen to tickle your tummy.

SOME of the country's most accomplished actresses - Lilian Dube, Mara Louw and Mary Twala - are back on your TV screen to tickle your tummy.

The three mamas of television will be joined by Rina Nienaber and Dolly Malunga in a new SABC2 comedy show called Skwizas.

Skwizas will air on SABC2 at 7pm from July 18, replacing the Stokvel Soccer Special.

The comedy show is about the differences in lifestyles at Skywards Retirement Village, where all the ladies live.

They grapple with dwindling pensions, lost careers, jealousy and the prospect of late-life romance.

Louw, who boasts a 25-year-long singing career, last acted in Duma kaNdlovu's soapie Muvhango.

Since then she has been a judge on M-Net's Pop Idols.

Dube is a veteran actress best known for her role as Sister Bettina in the SABC1 drama series Soul City .

However, from 1994 to 2009 she has acted in several other TV programmes.

As one of the country's most outstanding and distinguished actresses, Dube also featured in television shows such as 90 Plein Street and Mponeng.

Twala has had an extensive career as an actress, with roles in film, television and theatre.

Her film career includes such international films as Mapantsula, Sarafina, A Love in Africa, Malunde, Dr Lucille, Nyaka-Nyaka, Ngaka, Deliwe, Friends, Game for Vultures, Taxi to Soweto, Waati, Science Classic and Score.
