The appeal comes after entrepreneurs from disadvantaged communities expressed concern over their continuous struggle to qualify for capital from banks.
Close corporation owner Thomi Sigabi said her business to supply material to construction companies and state departments needed stable capital as she often required expensive equipment to transport certain goods.
"In January I got a job to transport fencing poles and I struggled to get money to hire a trailer that could transport such poles," Sigabi said.
Another young entrepreneur, Zakhele Khoza, a vegetable project manager, said: "As growing entrepreneurs we are struggling to keep our businesses running and we would welcome help with funding from the government."
The National African Federated Chamber of Commerce (Nafcoc) has been helping young business owners with networking platforms in order to enhance their business interests to possible future clients.
KwaZulu-Natal Nafcoc spokesperson Khulekani Ntshangase blamed the lack of information for the failure of most small businesses.
Ntshangase said his organisation had been teaching young business owners how to do paperwork such as the filing of proper tax returns and new regulations when registering on the government's database.
