SAFA has congratulated South Africans for continuing to fly the national flag during the 2010 Fifa World Cup despite Bafana Bafana's shock exit.

The Fly the Flag campaign was introduced by Lulu Xingwana's Department of Arts and Culture for South Africans to show their love for their country.

Another campaign that is also proving to be a roaring success is the Football Fridays, where South Africans are urged to wear Bafana Bafana jerseys on Fridays.

After Bafana's elimination, Football Fridays has been turned into Football Everyday where the locals are urged to continue wearing the national team jersey daily.

Safa chief executive Leslie Sedibe said: "We are delighted that the majority of South Africans are continuing to support the tournament despite Bafana Bafana's exit.

"It is so good to see our people going to match venues in big numbers wearing the Bafana Bafana jerseys and blowing the vuvuzelas. We need to continue supporting the World Cup until the very last match on July 11."
