PUPILS at Lefaragatlhe Primary School in Rustenburg, North West, had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity when they attended the World Cup match between Mexico and Uruguay at Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Tuesday.

Blowing their vuvuzelas and wrapped in warm Hyundai-sponsored blankets, 181 pupils spent the momentous day at the stadium enjoying the festivities with their teachers.

Principal Beatrice Moerane said: "It's a chance of a lifetime. The children are loving every minute of it, and it's wonderful to see them experience it."

A pupil at the school, Botshelo Boikano, said: "This is amazing. I have never seen anything like this. I am very happy to be here."

The school is part of a wider group of 32 recipient schools and homes across SA which are benefiting from Hyundai-sponsored World Cup tickets.

Participating schools took part in projects that aimed at capturing the essence of the official slogan of the 2010 Fifa World CupT, "Ke Nako - Celebrate Africa's Humanity".

Pupils also took part in the Hyundai Urban Schools Programme, which creates sustainable outreach and development initiatives to poor schools.
