Show still goes on SA

BAFANA Bafana are our heroes. They did us proud in the world's eyes. We were not given much hope of winning against France but we showed them, as we say in our neck of the woods.

BAFANA Bafana are our heroes. They did us proud in the world's eyes. We were not given much hope of winning against France but we showed them, as we say in our neck of the woods.

We won. Bafana Bafana have proven that we can hold our heads up high.

We might not have gone through to the Last-16 round but we bowed out in style. It was a deserved victory that has left the country euphoric.

Well done, boys, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts, which are still dancing to your magic.

As President Jacob Zuma said, the whole country came together to support Bafana Bafana and then celebrated together.

We might have lost the chance to go further but we have shown that we have the stomach for a fight against a top-flight team, the cup holders in 1998 and finalists in 2006.

Others might say France was beset with internal bickering but, as far as we are concerned, sibashayile.

This fight has united us and made us forget the nit-picking and finger-pointing that is a favourite pastime as we try to build the Rainbow Nation. When it counts, we are all South Africans.

Hola, Bafana Bafana, hola.

Now it is time to relax and really enjoy the World Cup. Let us continue to be gracious hosts to our visitors from all over the world. We are free to choose any team we fancy and cheer them on to victory.

We put in the hard work, so we should celebrate the best World Cup ever because it is ours.
