The truth will out when the crunch comes

WATCHING the various programmes about the World Cup on television I was astounded to learn that there are still areas, like Jericho, who have no electricity.

The world is now aware that the only beneficiaries are Fifa and those who gained from the World Cup because of businesses owned or other means by which money can be made.

Once money is scarce because it was spent, South Africans will realise that their hard-earned cash made this World Cup what it was: an opportunity to show the rest of the world that our services to the poor and needy have not evolved over the last 16 years and that this time it has nothing to do with the white man setting the rules.
