KWAZULU-NATAL MEC for cooperative governance and traditional affairs Nomusa Dube is seeking clarity from the Zululand district municipality on the district's summit saga.

KWAZULU-NATAL MEC for cooperative governance and traditional affairs Nomusa Dube is seeking clarity from the Zululand district municipality on the district's summit saga.

This follows Sowetan's publication of the allegations that the district paid for the Youth Summit, which was turned into an IFP rally.

The municipality forked out nearly R400000 to book in 135 IFP delegates who attended the "summit".

But the summit was not sanctioned by the Youth Council or portfolio committee on youth affairs.

Dube wants to determine if there were any abuses of municipal resources for partisan political ends. - Canaan Mdletshe
