AARON Mokoena and his Bafana Bafana teammates enjoyed the nation's support yesterday.

The main event was in Sandton, where the players, including Matthew Booth, Steven Pienaar and Teko Modise, paraded in an open-top bus.

Safa president Kirsten Nematandani said: "What I saw in South Africa today was something out of this world.

"The majority of South Africans were out in big numbers everywhere. Those are positive energies from the nation which should flow into the team."

Said Mokoena: "The entire team appreciates the unwavering support we are getting from the whole of South Africa ahead of the World Cup."

He said it was emotional to see people wearing Bafana Bafana jerseys and blowing vuvuzelas.
