SDUMO Mtshali, winner of South Africa's first acting reality show, Class Act, has admitted that his opponent, Muzi Clive, is definitely better-looking than h he is - but he is a better actor.

Mtshali said yesterday the television audience who voted him the winner last Thursday at the grand finale were sophisticated, so they looked for substance and not just looks.

Mtshali, from Montclair in Durban, said after years of hustling between film and the theatre, it was his mother, a nurse at the King Edward Hospital, who told him about the competition and encouraged him to enter.

"The organisers certainly did not waste time. I have already started shooting adverts," he said excitedly.

Now Mtshali is waiting for the start of the filming om the action thriller Ghetto Dangerous, which is in development. The movie will have its premiere next year.
