THE long-awaited launch of the Windybrow Theatre's 2010 programme will eventually take place tomorrow at 8pm.

THE long-awaited launch of the Windybrow Theatre's 2010 programme will eventually take place tomorrow at 8pm.

The full programme for the rest of the year will also be announced by Minister of Arts and Culture Lulu Xingwana, the theatre confirmed.

The Windybrow recently underwent cosmetic renovations in preparation for the World Cup period and beyond. It has repositioned itself as a Pan African theatre.

According to Xingwana the move is aimed at creating an African experience theatre, where African and diaspora programmes will be showcased.

Windybrow's spokesperson said: "Our 2010-11 programme already reflects the minister's vision. We are launching with a music concert featuring Tu Nokwe and Thandiswa Mazwai."
