NATIONAL First Division side Carara Kicks owner Motebang Mokoena has put an R8million price tag on the Free State outfit.

"We have been approached by several people from various provinces who are interested in buying the club," Mokoena said yesterday.

"One of them is the son of Peter Rabali (former Rabali Blackpool owner). We have been talking to him and he has made it clear he wants to take the club to Limpopo.

"We are also talking to the owners of African Wanderers (a Vodacom Promotional League side in KwaZulu-Natal), who also want to buy the club.

"I have read in the media that the owners of Winnerspark (who have been relegated to the Promotional League) are also keen to buy the club. I have decided to sell the club now for the new owners to have ample time to prepare for the new season. It has been a big challenge for me to run the club in the last two seasons in the (National) First Division because I feel I was sabotaged because my father is (Free State Stars boss) Mike Mokoena.

"Everything is being done on a first-come, first-served basis," he told Sowetan.

Kicks have campaigned in the National First Division for the past two seasons.
