IT'S all systems go at the uMgungundlovu municipality as the provincial capital city welcomes team Paraguay today.

Mayor Yusuf Bhamjee said after months of intense negotiations and high level planning, the municipality was ready to host Paraguay.

The team is due to arrive at Oribi Airport at 3.30pm.

On their arrival the team will be taken to the Woodridge Country Hotel in Nottingham Road, where they will be based.

Municipal manager Sibusiso Khuzwayo said they were excited about the team's arrival and were confident that all logistical arrangements were in place.

Kicking off the activities is a massive street carnival tomorrow at 10am.

The carnival will comprise bikers, rickshaws, multicultural music groups, artists and renowned DJs, among others.

It will then culminate into an edutainment event where KwaZulu-Natal MEC for arts, culture, sport and recreation, Weziwe Thusi and Bhamjee, will address the audience.

Saturday morning promises to be another fun-filled day with a soccer clinic at the Harry Gwala Stadium from 8am to 11am followed by a 2010 World Cup carnival display at 11am.

The highlight of the day will be the U-20 Paraguay team taking on uMgungundlovu U-20 team at the Harry Gwala Stadium at 1.30pm.

Bafana Bafana supporters will be pleased to know that the Bafana against Denmark match will be screened live at 3pm at the Harry Gwala Stadium.
