Obose, 21, was arrested on May 14 and is facing two counts of murder.
Police spokesperson Warrant- Officer Kay Makhubela confirmed the arrest last week.
"She made her first appearance in the Protea magistrate's court last week and will be back in court on Monday (today)."
Her arrest was delayed for more than a year while police waited for postmortem results.
Last January Obose allegedly prepared a drink laced with aldicarb, aka "two-step", drank some and gave the rest to her daughters.
She had allegedly had an altercation with their father.
Aldicarb is found in temik, an illegal substance generally used to kill rats. A teaspoon of aldicarb is toxic enough to kill a grown rhino.
Obose and her two daughters Londiwe and Samkelisiwe aged one and three, were found by Obose's father Jacob Zulu groaning in pain at their home in Jabulani, Soweto.
The three were rushed to hospital and Obose survived the poisoning but her children died.
She spent a week in the ICU at the Chris Hani-Baragwanath Hospital and was transferred to the psychiatric ward before being released.
After her release from hospital she suffered from amnesia but after some time her memory was restored.
When Sowetan spoke to Obose she was detached from reality.
"I thought I was just doing a small thing. I did not want my name to be in the newspapers," Obose said.
She spent some time in seclusion in her home but then ventured out again, going to the mall and friends.
But when it seemed her children's death was water under the bridge, the long arm of the law caught up with her.
