FIFA president Sepp Blatter loves vuvuzelas and he gets dispirited when he sees people not blowing them.
Blatter expressed his unhappiness about the absence of vuvuzelas at the unveiling of the plaque at the new Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Saturday.
"I'm happy to get such a warm welcome through a song and a dance, but where are the vuvuzelas," Blatter said.
"I don't see people blowing them. I just love the vuvuzelas and I become angry when they are not blown."
It was Blatter's first visit to Polokwane, one of the 2010 World Cup host cities.
He was accompanied by various soccer personalities, led by Local Organising Committee chairperson Irvin Khoza.
The Limpopo provincial government and Polokwane municipality rolled out the red carpet for Blatter.
"I am touched by the way I was received at the stadium with cultural dancers and also the presence of the family of Peter Mokaba whom the stadium was named after," Blatter said.
"The presence of Ike Maphoto, who I regard as a (hero in) the struggle (against apartheid), makes me happy.
"It is a great day here today and I am confident that Peter Mokaba Stadium will (mark the beginning of) a great period of celebrations for the people of Limpopo," Blatter said.
"The 2010 World Cup legacy projects will stay for a long period for the people of Limpopo. The stadium is magnificent. It is wonderful.
"I am just waiting for June 11 for the tournament to start," he said.
The international soccer supremo also sounded confident that South Africa would do well in the World Cup. "Bafana Bafana are on the right way to proceed to the next round, I hope so," Blatter said.
Limpopo Premier Cassel Mathale thanked Blatter for South Africa's opportunity to host the World Cup, adding that he was confident that Polokwane would deliver a successful tournament.
"It is a wonderful experience to have Sepp Blatter in Limpopo. Our preparations have gone well and we are going to contribute to the success of the World Cup in South Africa.
"We want to thank Mokaba's mother Prescilla and her family for accepting our invitation to attend this historic moment. We also thank Safa," Mathale said.
