THE woman standing trial for murdering her 14-month-old son and nine-day-old baby girl is pregnant again.

A heavily pregnant Mapaseka Yvonne Seoka appeared briefly in the Vereeniging circuit court last Thursday before Judge Brian Spilg. Her case was postponed.

She is eight months pregnant with her third child.

Seoka allegedly strangled her son Lebogang and the next day stabbed nine-day-old Ditlhoriso in the throat with a pair of scissors two years ago.

"I am expecting a baby girl," Seoka said.

"It is sad that she won't be able to see her siblings because they are dead.

"I will tell her one day when she is older that her siblings passed away before she was born," she said.

Seoka said after her release from prison last year she met a new lover, whom she claims "makes me happy".

The couple live in Taung, North West, where they met after Seoka's release from prison.

It is alleged that on August 17 2008 Seoka killed her son and the following day killed her daughter at the Hospital Hills informal settlement near Lenasia South, Johannesburg.

Seoka apparently informed her family that her son was dead and Lebogang was found strangled.

The following day Seoka told her family and neighbours that she was taking Ditlhoriso to the Leratong Hospital in Mogale City.

She returned alone without her daughter. Suspicious neighbours informed the police about the disappearance of the baby girl.

Ditlhoriso's body was found two days later under a tree in an open veld, wrapped in a jacket and placed inside a refuse bag.

The baby had been had stabbed several times, apparently with a pair of scissors.

Seoka is expected back in court on October 4.
