THE Local Organising Committee believes the World Cup stadiums are sustainable.

Speaking at a meeting between the SA National Editors Forum and Fifa, LOC chief executive Danny Jordaan said: "When we pitched for the World Cup, we pitched for 13 stadiums. We reduced these after going to the DBSA for assessment.

"Now we have 10 stadiums that host cities can use any time to hold events."

Jordaan said most stadiums are booked for events after the World Cup. - Tebogo Monama
