ON TOP OF HIS GAME

ARTHUR Bartman's professionalism and dedication to his craft finally paid off on Tuesday evening when he walked away with the three most prestigious awards at Kaizer Chiefs' annual awards ceremony.

ARTHUR Bartman's professionalism and dedication to his craft finally paid off on Tuesday evening when he walked away with the three most prestigious awards at Kaizer Chiefs' annual awards ceremony.

The 37-year-old goalkeeper won Player of the Season, Players' Player of the Season and Online Player of the Season (voted for by fans) awards at the event at Vodaworld in Midrand.

After graciously accepting the accolades, Bartman turned his attention to Bafana, declaring his support for the men that will represent the nation on the biggest stage of all.

"This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity not only for the players, but for every single South African. I am so excited, I will be going to some of the matches to cheer our boys on.

"The whole country has to get right behind the team, and there's no better way than to be a part of Vodacom's 'Join the Voice Behind Bafana Bafana' campaign and send an encouraging message of support to 35600 to pin your colours to the mast. I've done it, everyone should," he said.

Meanwhile, the three Amakhosi players currently in Bafana Bafana's preliminary squad - Itumeleng Khune, Reneilwe Letsholonyane and Siphiwe Tshabalala - thanked all the fans that have sent in SMSes of support to the team.
