BERLIN - Germany are not planning to switch their World Cup hotel despite alleged problems between the owners and local authorities over licences, team spokesperson Harald Stenger said yesterday.

South African media reported that the Velmore Grande hotel near Pretoria, where the German team will be based from June 7 onwards, does not have the required permits.

"I can only say that this is an issue between Fifa; Match, through which we booked the hotel; the South African authorities and the hotel itself," he said. "We don't see any alternative." - Reuters
