THE community of Ntlhaveni in Block C near Malamulele, Limpopo, is mourning the death of its councillor.
The ward 6 councillor in the Thulamela municipality, Anna Maluleke, 42, died at the Malamulele Hospital on Tuesday after being admitted last Thursday.
Her elder sister, Mphephu Makhubele, confirmed the death.
"My sister had been in and out of hospital for the last two months," said Makhubele.
Local chief Gezani Makhubele said as an ANC councillor in the ward Maluleke had contributed a lot to the entire ward.
Thulamela municipality spokesperson Ndwamato Tshiila said: "We have lost a very dedicated and productive councillor."
Councillor death 'a loss'
