Falcons dominated women's football long before Sasol came on board as sponsors, and boast some of the country's most talented players, including Mamello Makhabane and Mpho Rammala.
Captain Hlengiwe Ngwane says they were devastated when they lost at the semifinal stage last season. But from the moment they arrived in Limpopo last week to compete with the nine regional winners for this year's title, it was "Mission bring it back home".
"The spirit in the team was very high. We were confident and anxious to rectify last year's mistakes," Ngwane said.
The team's technical director, Bob Maredi, credited meticulous planning for the Tembisa side's performance. He said: "We did our homework, and by the time we reached the finals we knew what to expect."
