ANC Youth League president Julius Malema yesterday reaffirmed the youth's unwavering support for President Jacob Zuma to serve for a second term.

Malema was speaking at the provincial ANCYL conference at the University of KwaZulu-Natal.

"He is our president today and beyond 2012. We are surprised at the people who were now dividing us with our president.

"Now Zuma has advisers who hated him before. We have defended Zuma when it was not fashionable. And we seek no one's input."

He also said he was not bitter about the disciplinary action taken against him by the ANC.

"There is no one above the ANC. You can take away the presidency from me but not the ANC membership," Malema said.

He repeated the league's support for Zuma in Mpumalanga yesterday, where the ANC president was launching the party's imvuselelo campaign.

He said no one would cause a fight between "my president and the ANCYL".

"Those who think of a fight between the president and the ANCYL are day-dreaming and those who want to kill the ANCYL actually want to kill the ANC," Malema said.
