MILAN - It was an all-night celebration for Inter Milan and a party at sunrise before thousands at the San Siro stadium.

After beating Bayern Munich 2-0 for the Champions League title in Madrid on Saturday, Inter's flight back to Milan landed at 5am yesterday and a bus immediately took the team to the San Siro.

Some 40000 fans went wild when captain Javier Zanetti walked onto the field with the trophy at 6:07am just as the sun began to lighten the sky.

Some of the loudest cheers were for forward Diego Milito, who scored both goals to secure Inter's first European title in 45 years.
