DUE to the closure of two shafts at Central Rand Gold, brand new mining equipment and sundries will be auctioned by Aucor.

"It's not often that we have equipment and machinery of this calibre on auction, and buyers will have the rare opportunity to purchase a selection of brand new stock at unmatched prices," says Clive Winterstein, head of Aucor's mining division.

He said the mine had put down two shafts, but before production commenced, the owners realised that there were more cost-effective methods of mining.

Once mining started, the tonnage was far greater than anticipated and as a result, two new portable Gekko Python gold extraction plants would be auctioned.

He said a range of stock must be sold including two fully equipped brand new head gears with ore bins, three double winches with motors and power packs, and two 55kVa single drum winders.

Added to that are silencers, mono winches, auxiliary fans, jaw crusher, winch scrapers and Camilock jacks.

The auction takes place on Wednesday June 2 at 10.30am at Martingale Street, Stormville Ext 5, Roodepoort. Viewing will take take place a day prior to auction from 9am to 4pm. For more detail call Wayne on 072-788-6889.
