Mbuyane prepares for Zambia

AFTER being dumped by Bafana Bafana coach Carlos Alberto Parreira, Thulasizwe Mbuyane has been roped into the national development team, Amabinneplaas.

AFTER being dumped by Bafana Bafana coach Carlos Alberto Parreira, Thulasizwe Mbuyane has been roped into the national development team, Amabinneplaas.

The team is in camp to prepare for Sunday's African Nations Championships (CHAN) first leg match against Zambia at Katlehong Stadium. Kickoff is at 3pm.

"It's always good to represent the country and the game against Zambia will be tough. But we are playing at home and we should win," Mbuyane said. "The plan is to go for more goals at home to make things easier for us in the return match in Lusaka in two weeks' time."

Other regular players in the team include Ramahlwe Mphahlele, Thapelo Tshilo, Thembile Kanono, Lefa Tsutsulupa and Eleazar Rodgers.

Former Safa director of coaching Simon "Malome" Ngomane has been roped in as coach of Amabinneplaas.

Goalkeepers - Wayne Roberts, Tshepo Motsoeneng (both Santos), Jacob Mokhasi (SuperSport), Siya Mngoma (Pretoria University);

Defenders - Mzuvukile Tom, Siyanda Zwane (both Golden Arrows), Tshilo, Gladwin Shitolo (Cosmos), Warren Bishop (AmaZulu), Wayne Arendse (Santos), Mphahlele (Swallows);

Midfielders - Kanono (Bloemfontein Celtic), Klaas Galane (Dynamos), Njabulo Mnqana (Arrows), Oupa Manyisa (Pirates), Tsutsulupa (Swallows), Lungelo Yekiso (Witbank Spurs), Michael Nkambule, Wayne Matle (Chiefs), Thabo Mongalo (SS United), Tasleen Paulse (Santos);

Strikers - Rodgers (Santos), Thabo Moleko (SS), Mbuyane (Bucs).
