SABC sports commentator Simon "Kolobe" Ramafalo, soccer personalities Andrew Rabutla and Saddam Maake were among the people honoured by Safa at the weekend.

Also honoured was former referee Herman Nkuna, who is now a match commissioner for the Confederation of African Football.

Safa Mopani's regional president Vincent Ramphago said the awards ceremony, which took place in Giyani, was aimed at recognising the contribution of Rabutla and company to the development of soccer in the region.

Maake could not attend because he was at the memorial service of former Kaizer Chiefs player Scara Ngobese.
