Cops probe 'suicide'

LEBOWAKGOMO police in Limpopo are investigating the death of a 54-year-old man who was found hanging from the goalposts of a local soccer ground.

Lennis Mathabatha was found hanging from the goalposts of a sports ground at Lekurung village in GaMphahlele outside Polokwane.

He was last seen alive when he allegedly bid his family farewell after supper on May 7.

According to police Captain Mamphiswa Seabi, he used a wire hanger to commit suicide. - Frank Maponya
