Three more FC Cape Town stars head abroad

THE number of FC Cape Town players who have moved on to overseas clubs might increase to five next season as three of their current players are on the verge of joining teams abroad.

The trio likely to be lost to the ambitious National First Division club are Darren Dicks, Morne Davids and Ashley Hartog.

Errol Dicks, the side's boss, said his son Darren will attend trials in France, while Davids and Hartog would try their luck in Turkey.

Dicks said they all leave on May 22.

Davids and Hartog are likely to join their former FC Cape Town teammates Hassan Wasswa and Emmanuel Emenike at Kardemir Karabukspor, should they pass trials at the Turkish club.

Dicks declined to name the French team where his son would attend trials.

lSowetan has learnt that Winnerspark's Swaziland international Civil Matsebula will go for trials in Iceland soon.

l African Warriors are likely to lose their midfield maestro Mfanelo Makume to Maritzburg United or Bloemfontein Celtic, who are said to be after his signature.
